Decking
Three tips to get decking to work:
- Use it where it's appropriate – to make a raised platform or to create a flat area on uneven or sloping ground. Decking can look wonderful if used to make platforms at different levels. One of the most appropriate places is over water or a boardwalk next to water.
- Bed it into the garden, plant around the back of it and around the front – create entrances to the decked area. Make a space between the decking and wall or fence behind it to get some plants in to break up the surfaces.
- Use treated timber planks rather than decking boards if you want a more natural looking effect though they will be more slippy in wet weather.
