Decking

Three tips to get decking to work:
  1. Use it where it's appropriate – to make a raised platform or to create a flat area on uneven or sloping ground. Decking can look wonderful if used to make platforms at different levels. One of the most appropriate places is over water or a boardwalk next to water.
  2. Bed it into the garden, plant around the back of it and around the front – create entrances to the decked area. Make a space between the decking and wall or fence behind it to get some plants in to break up the surfaces.
  3. Use treated timber planks rather than decking boards if you want a more natural looking effect though they will be more slippy in wet weather.
